Text-There is not very much text, only at the bottom of the page, the text isnt very big, the text tells the reader what is in the magazine and what pages to find it, the subheadings are in bold and some have a black background, all of the text is ordered very simply and is easy to read, it is very basic and not over the top.next to each of the infomation there is a page number for it.
Font-The font of the text is all the same, it is very simple and easy to read. all of the text is the same colour except the page numbers, there arent any italics used in this page and all of the subheadings are in bold.
Images-Images cover about two thirds of the contents page, there are 5 different pictures all at the top of the page, above the text. most of the pictures are around the same size except for top one of Slipknot. 3 of the pictures are of bands or band members, the other 2 are of album covers, the pictures have numbers on them which is the page number where the info about these is found.
Composition-Layout is very simple as all of the images are at the top of the page and all text is at the bottom of the page.

Colour-There doesnt seem to be too much colour in the page, most of it is black, red and white except in the pictures which gives the page most of the colours.

Images-Only one image, covers whole page. There is a caption which goes with the picture at the middle left of the page.
Composition-Layout is pretty simple, all text is in the bottom right corner, the image covers the whole page and the masthead is in the top right corner. also there is a caption for the image in the middle left of the page.

Composition-Layout of the magazine is the same in every metal hammer magazine, there are pictures on the right half of the page and on the bottom of the page and the text is all in the left hand corner of the page, also there is a small strip of text at the right of the page going from top to bottom.
